COOS BAY — Pathways to Positive Parenting will offer an “Interventions for Misguided Behavior” workshop Tuesday, Oct. 27. This two-hour workshop, for parents, family members and childcare providers, introduces tools and techniques to redirect behavior and guide children to be successful in their interactions. We will also brainstorm ideas and activities for best practices when working with young children and how to bridge guidance strategies between home and school settings.
The workshop will be held 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Family Center on Southwestern’s Coos Campus, 2140 Newmark Ave., Coos Bay. A free family dinner and free childcare will be provided. Please call 541-888-1588 to register.
Continuing Education Credits are available upon request. Certificates will be issued which identify completed training hours for CCD certified and registered childcare providers, foster parents, and all other participants.
The workshop is sponsored by Southwestern Oregon Community College, Oregon Parenting Education Collaborative and Pathways to Positive Parenting.
