A woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder after officers found two young children stabbed to death at a house in Bradford.
West Yorkshire police said they were called by paramedics to an address in Undercliffe at 11.28am following reports of an injured child.
“Officers found two young children with stab wounds,” a police statement said. “Both children received treatment at the scene but were pronounced dead a short time later.”
It added: “A 24-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder and inquiries are continuing. Police are not currently looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.”
Subsequent reports said the address concerned was in Mint Street, a cul-de-sac of homes in the north-east of the city.
A spokeswoman for the Yorkshire ambulance service confirmed its staff had attended the incident.
