Han shot first. At least, he did in the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens TV spot.

Yes we are just a little over a month out (36 days to be precise) from the new Star Wars movies, which means we are getting little bits and pieces of the film scattered in various TV spots and whatnot as Disney amps up the marketing campaign (spoiler alert: you will be seeing Star Wars ads everywhere). It’s a lot of stuff we’ve seen before, but it comes with two new Han Solo moments that are keeping the hype parade moving forward.

As exciting as it’s been to see John Boyega’s Finn and Adam Driver’s Kylo Ren pick up light sabers, it’s really gratifying to see Mr. Solo himself with a blaster. He even passes one on to Rey, and we’re sitting here like SO SHE’S HIS DAUGHTER RIGHT WE’RE ALL AGREEING SHE’S HIS DAUGHTER IT JUST HAS TO BE THAT WAY AT THIS POINT!

Anyways if you need more to tide you over until Dec. 18, take a look at our visit to the Star Wars costume exhibition in Times Square:

Star Wars and the Power of Costume The Exhibition opens to the public on Nov. 14. The new exhibition in Times Square features costumes from all seven of the Star Wars films including several iconic looks from Princess Leia, Darth Vader and Chewbacca
