‘Lego Marvel’s Avengers’ Assembles First Trailer – Forbes

Warner Bros Interactive today unveiled the latest trailer for it’s upcoming Winter 2015 release, Lego Marvel’s Avengers.

This game continues the ground work of Lego Marvel Superheroes and takes us back to the world of the Marvel Superheroes. This time though, similar to Lego Jurassic World, it follows the story-lines from the recent movies, Avengers Assemble and Avengers Age Of Ultron.

Although these two headline films will undoubtedly drive the story and core content, it’s also another chance for TT Games to include plenty of fan service and characters in the game. Around 155 characters were featured  in the original game so we can expect to see at least that number in this outing. With content from both films included here, it should include Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, The Vision and Ultron himself.

Interestingly, while Lego Dimensions leaves Marvel toys-to-life territory to Disney Infinity, here Warner and TT Games still have rights to the Marvel franchises. While this divide is understandable for families it’s a shame that this divide necessitates investing in both Infinity and Dimensions.

Beyond the teaser trailer we expect to see more details on the game at next weeks E3 event.

With Lego Jurassic World out this week, Lego Dimensions later in the year and Lego Worlds available now in steam this is looking like a busy year for developers TT Games.

Lego Marvel’s Avengers will release alongside the new film on PS4, PS3, Vita, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U, 3DS and PC.
