Six days and thousands of milkshakes and funnel cakes after it opened, the 2015 Dutchess County Fair reached its final day on Sunday.

“I love it. It’s one of my favorite things to do in Dutchess County. I’ve been to every fair since 1973,” said Gary Katz of Salt Point. “I think I missed one year.”

On Sunday, Katz and his son, Matan, took turns throwing baseballs at bottles. Earlier, Katz’s 7-year-old daughter, Hava, entered her sheep into the 4-H dress-up contest. She dressed up as a fairy, her sheep was a unicorn.

“My favorite part is all of the traditions,” Katz said. “And the people who have been here for so many years. Everything from 4-H to the German street performer who has been coming here for 10 years.”

“I love the milkshakes,” 10-year-old Matan said.
