GREENWICH — The Washington County Fair is in its annual run at the fairgrounds, 392 Old Schuylerville Road, through Sunday.

The Ram Truck monster truck, record holder for the fastest speed for a monster truck, according to the Guinness World Records, will make an appearance Friday through Sunday.

Other highlights include exhibits, demos, rodeos, tractor pulls, a farm museum and over 40 shows.

Admission is $10, age 13 or under and active military get in free.

Gates are open 9 a.m. – 10 p.m. through Saturday and 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. Sunday.


Upcoming county fairs:

• Columbia County Fair, 32 Church St., Chatham: Sept. 2-7. Admission: $5 to $12; ages 12 and younger, free. Since 1840, the fair has celebrated the area’s rich agricultural heritage. There will be rides, games, shows, pig races, demolition derby and more. Country star Rodney Atkins performs at 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 6. See

• Fonda Fair, 21 S. Bridge St., Fonda: Sept. 1-7. Admission: $2 to $10; under 6, free. The Mohawk Valley Music Fest with Sawyer Fredericks, Trace Adkins, Keith Anderson, Caroline Kole and Skeeter Creek is Saturday, Sept. 5, at the fairgrounds. $35 advance, $40 day of show.


• Schaghticoke Fair, 69 Stillwater Bridge Road, Schaghticoke: Sept. 2-7. Admission $9 to $11; unlimited ride ticket $18 to $21. The fair in Rensselaer County will celebrate its 196th year. The theme of this year’s event is “The Fairest One of All.” Expect agricultural exhibits, vendors, rides, games, shows and more. See
