Children being cared for in the emergency department of a hospital are often in need of distraction to make their experience as positive and stress-free as possible.

The Children’s Hospital at Sacred Heart has launched a Christmas in September Toy Drive for the hospital playrooms and child life program. For infection control and safety reasons, donated items must be new. Toys must be washable and either plastic or wood and not have violent themes.

Donations can be dropped off at the information desk in the lobby of The Children’s Hospital at 5151 N. Ninth Ave. in Pensacola. For more information, call 850-416-4713.
