LA Public Library to offer 2-week amnesty program for overdue books – KABC-TV

If you have any library books that you haven’t returned, you may be in luck.

The Los Angeles Public Library system has announced a two-week, no-questions-asked amnesty program for overdue books and other items.

Officials say all fines will be forgiven and your suspended library cards will be fully restored if you return everything in good shape.

The program, which goes into effect on Feb. 1, also applies to other items like DVDs and tapes.

The items can be returned to the Central Library downtown or to any of the city’s 72 branches.
